This Privacy Policy describes how SaveTTok Media LLC ("SaveTTok", "we", "us", "our"), located at 1800 Duke Street Suite 400, Alexandria VA 22314, United States, collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you use our website at savettok.org and the services we provide through it.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us Directly

Account registration: If you choose to create a SaveTTok account, we collect your full name, email address, and a password (stored as a secure cryptographic hash — we never store your actual password). You may also update your display name, preferred language, and email address through your dashboard at any time.

Contact and support: If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry.

Payment information: If you subscribe to our Pro plan, your payment is processed entirely by PayPal. SaveTTok never sees, handles, or stores your credit card number, bank account details, or any other raw payment credentials. We receive from PayPal a transaction identifier, the plan you subscribed to, and the date of the transaction.

Information Collected Automatically

Download activity: When you use the SaveTTok download tool — whether logged in or not — we record the following: the TikTok URL you submitted, the type of download you requested (standard video, HD video, or MP3), and the timestamp of the request. For registered users, this is associated with your account. For anonymous users, this is associated with a session identifier stored in a cookie on your device and is not linked to any personal identifier.

Log data: Like most web services, our servers automatically record certain technical information when you access our website. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the referring URL (the page you came from). This data is used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics. Individual log entries are retained for up to 90 days.

Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies to operate the service. See Section 5 (Cookies) for a full explanation of what cookies we use and how to manage them.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To detect and prevent abuse: Identifying and blocking patterns of misuse such as automated scraping, rate limit evasion, or attempts to use the service in ways that violate our Terms of Use.
• To improve the service: Analysing aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to understand how people use SaveTTok and where we can make improvements.
• To comply with legal obligations: Responding to valid legal requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities, where required by applicable law.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We use a small number of third-party companies to help us operate SaveTTok. These include our hosting and infrastructure providers, our CDN provider (Cloudflare), and our payment processor (PayPal). These providers access only the information necessary to perform their specific functions and are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements to users on the free tier. Google AdSense uses cookies and tracking technologies to serve personalised advertisements based on your browsing history and interests. If you have accepted marketing cookies, Google may use your data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SaveTTok, our users, or the public.

• Download history (Free users): Retained for 30 days from the date of each download.
• Download history (Pro users): Retained indefinitely while your account is active.
• Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days.
• Contact messages: Retained for up to 2 years for support continuity purposes, then deleted.
• Subscription records: Retained for 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements.

You can delete your account at any time from your Dashboard under Account Settings. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Cookies

SaveTTok uses the following categories of cookies:

Essential cookies: Required for the service to function. These include authentication cookies that keep you logged in, CSRF protection tokens that prevent cross-site request forgery attacks, and session cookies that maintain your download counter. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the service.

Functional cookies: Used to remember your preferences, such as your chosen language. These can be declined without preventing you from using the service, although some preferences may not be saved.
